Hood River, Oregon Engagement…
When Laurie invited us out to Oregon to be her wedding photographers (full blog post here!) we were super excited when she also asked us if we would be willing to take some engagement photos before the wedding. Of course we would! Since Oregon is a such beautiful state, we were more than eager to make the most of our time with the couple.
For our first location, Laurie found the Western Antique Aeroplane and Automobile Museum in Hood River, Oregon to showcase Sean’s love for aviation (he is a pilot for a living).
We arrived at the museum to find multiple hangars filled with an impressive number of antique planes that have been restored and still fly today! The museum was so inviting and accommodating to us, even assigning a volunteer to assist us with moving the barriers so that we could get closer to the planes. We were all surprised when the volunteer let Sean and Laurie have their pictures taken while sitting in one! The museum was a perfect start to their Hood River Oregon engagement session.
The museum even had a plane that was made in Sean’s hometown in Illinois! He was so excited to be so close to it and asked to please have his portrait taken with the plane. Of course we said yes! 🙂
After the museum we headed to Washington for our next location. Laurie had shared that she always wanted to have her engagement photos at a winery, so off we went to Maryhill Winery, a gorgeous spot sitting high above the Columbia River.
After they sampled some of the wine we meandered through the vineyard, stopping to take some photos among the grapevines, which were loaded with deep purple grapes.
It was an excellent way to finish their Hood River Oregon engagement session.
