It is completely true what they say, it is nearly impossible to capture the vast beauty of the Grand Canyon, but that didn’t stop Adam and I from trying! It was a cold Easter morning when we decided to visit the Grand Canyon. We arrived to hear the last chorus from the Easter service that was held at the Mather Point Overlook. With the sun rising up over the crowd of people worshipping in unison it was a truly glorious moment.
This was the first time either of us had visited the Grand Canyon. We knew it was going to be beautiful but no pictures could have prepared us for what we saw! We began by exploring the South Rim. Once we got over our nerves of being so close to the edge the photo shoots commenced! How can you not take advantage of such a stunning backdrop? There were quite a few periods of silence from both of us as we took in the magnitude of the canyon. We finished our trip at the Watchtower along Desert View Drive. We stayed until the sun set, watching as the colors of the canyon changed from pinks and purples to a deep gorgeous orange red. We had a hard time tearing ourselves away.
