It was a perfect fall day for Rachelle and Justin’s Takk House Wedding in Troy, NY.
The Takk House is a former Knight’s of Columbus building renovated into a unique multiple story event venue. With so many gorgeous features, it was the perfect place for the bride and groom to gather with their family and friends to celebrate.
Rachelle got ready in the bridal suite and while her makeup was being perfected we busied ourselves with capturing all of the details that she had so carefully put together for the day.
We absolutely love her sense of whimsy, which can be seen in her peacock feather printed shoes, her wild and beautiful bouquet or the favor for their guests, an origami paper fortune teller! A favorite game from everyone’s childhood.
While Rachelle was preparing for the day, Justin was relaxing in the barbershop downstairs with his brother and shooting some pool…seriously, how awesome is The Takk House??
Upstairs in the Takk House Ballroom is a vintage shuffle board court, which made for a fun backdrop for their first look.
Following Rachelle and Justin’s wonderful sense of adventure, we climbed a ladder and headed for the roof!
We continued our portraits with a walk through downtown Troy, ending at a stove factory near the Hudson river. The old stone, ivy and metal provided the perfect backdrop for Rachelle and Justin’s love of textures and design.
Time for some family portraits!
Is there a better way to usher in the bride than a bubble parade?!?
After a beautiful ceremony, Rachelle and Justin’s party lasted into the night as their family and friends danced and celebrated this amazing couple!
Let the new adventures begin!
We wish you a lifetime filled with love, laughter and adventure Rachelle + Justin!
