Chioma and Uch’s Washington National Cathedral engagement session could not have happened at a better time! Spring time in Washington, DC is pretty spectacular so we were excited to take advantage of all the city has to offer.
A fun perk of planning engagement sessions with couples is that we get to search for locations that fit their personality and the look that they want for their photos. There are so many amazing places to photo in the city and we were looking for something that would be distinctly DC and would offer some natural beauty.
We chose Meridian Hill Park for their first location because it features a grand fountain in the center of the park. We were excited when we arrived to see the red bud and dogwood trees were all in bloom, giving us the perfect spring backdrop we were hoping for!
Chioma and Uch chose a Washington National Cathedral engagement session because Uch attended St. Albans School on the cathedral campus. He has such fond memories of his time at the school and it was important to him that we feature the National Cathedral and the surrounding area in their photos.
We spent some time exploring Bishop’s Garden, which is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. We could have photoed at the National Cathedral for hours. The stunning architecture paired with the beautiful gardens make it a dream location.
We had a wonderful afternoon with Chioma and Uch! We always love the opportunity to work with friends of past couples. We met them through Uju and Tim, whose engagement and wedding we had the joy of photoing this past year. Chioma and Uch are such a sweet and kind couple, it was a pleasure spending the day capturing all of the love and joy that is between them.
Congratulations Chioma and Uch! We wish you a lifetime of love and adventure together!
