On August 25 Irene and Ryan gathered with their family and friends for their Washington Street United Methodist Church wedding. Irene was dressed in a beautiful white and gold sari and Ryan wore a classic black suit. He, his brother, father and Irene’s father all wore bow ties made from the extra fabric from his mother’s dress.
Together this stunning couple were joined in marriage in front of their family and friends in a beautiful ceremony that blended the traditions of both Irene and Ryan’s families.
Detail photos are some of our favorite things to take while everyone is getting ready. It’s our little glimpse inside a couple’s tastes and creativity.
We especially love it when couples put their own personality into the details of the day, such as Ryan’s wedding band. Looking for something a bit different than the traditional metal wedding bands, he found the perfect one from Ring and Grove Co. Made of light maple, purple heart and copper wire, it was just the ring he was looking for!
Irene and Ryan got ready for their big day in The Alexandrian in Old Town. Irene was joined by her sister and Ryan’s brother, father and dog kept him company as they all prepared for the big day!
We brought them to one of our favorite alleys for their first look. The cobble stone path and ivy covered brick of Wales Alley provides just the right character for bridal portraits.
After their portraits, Irene returned to her suite to get into her sari for the ceremony. Once she was ready we all journeyed over for their Washington Street United Methodist Church wedding.
The reception was held at the Torpedo Factory Art Center. Irene and Ryan treated the room to a choreographed first dance to Never Gonna Give You Up by Rick Astley and it was AMAZING!
The surprises didn’t stop there! After a very sweet father daughter and mother son dance everyone was on their feet as the Lionz of Zion crew rushed the floor and gave a fantastic performance!
The evening ended with all of their guests lining up outside to cheer for them one last time as they headed off in the moonlight!
Congratulations Irene and Ryan! We wish you both a lifetime of love, laughter and adventures together!
